PSU ranks 7th in Phil Science Consortium Quiz Bee

Among 24 state universities and colleges (SUCs) who are council members of the Philippine Science Consortium (PCS). The Pangasinan State University (PSU) lands in the prominent top ten list occupying the number seven slots in the recently concluded annual quiz bee held at the Bataan Peninsula State University on December 2-4, 2009.
Furthermore, PSU ranks first in Region 1. The contestants competed in areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Mabette de Guzman and Elpidio Ferrer of PSU Bayambang represented the University in the Biology category and landed on second spot. The contestants were coached by Mrs. Grace Suratos. In Physics, Lemuel Cristobal and Neil Carlo Arcega of PSU Lingayen placed 6th with Mr. Eddierick Tomas as their trainer. Likewise in Chemistry, Alvin Barnachea and John Anthony Geslani of Bayambang campus bagged 8th place and were coached by Mrs. Elmina Paras. Meanwhile, in the mathematics category we settled at the bottom three.
The Philippine Science Consortium (formerly known as the Luzon Science Consortium) visions to work for inter-institutional collaboration among state universities and colleges and other institutions of higher learning committed to quality education in Mathematics, Breeder Sciences and Technology.
